Since the office was founded in 2005, creativity and aesthetics have been at the heart of “minimalist”. But since 2010 I have realized that these two elements must go hand in hand with sustainability and ecological awareness. Since then, I have been doing everything I can to make our contribution to a careful treatment of our environment.
Horrified by the Deepwater Horizon disaster in 2010, I decided to take action. Since 2010, we have been sourcing our electricity and biogas from Naturstrom (not a certificate provider), thus minimizing our carbon footprint.
Since the beginning of May this year, we are proud to supply our small office with almost self-sufficient energy through a 600-watt balcony power plant. In just four months, we have generated and used an impressive 430kWh of clean energy. This step, albeit a small one, is of great importance to us because it underscores our commitment to climate protection and a sustainable future.
But even in our everyday lives, we take numerous small steps here to use resources and energy responsibly, from consciously filling the kettle to choosing our production partners. Normally, I find such “eco-marketing” lame, but due to an ever increasing polarization in the population, I would like to speak out clearly in favor of a sustainable path and that we can all make a difference.
We are proud to continue on this path and to fulfill our orders.
