The European Architectural Photography Award 2021 was presented for the 12th time on 16 July. I have been in charge of the exhibition catalogue since 2001 and was responsible for the logo development back then. I had the pleasure of designing the catalogue with Christina Gräwe, Oliver Mezger (editor) and Florian Höch (prepress), which we adapt and optimise year by year. The book was printed for the third time on Arctic Volume White at DZA (Altenburg Printers), a company I have worked with many times before and with great pleasure. Because of the pandemic, this time the entire award ceremony was streamed live from the DAM and can now be seen on Youtube for the first time. I think it’s great that, in addition to the book, the photographers can now also be seen with their explanations at the award ceremony and I hope that there will be more recordings in the future (without the pandemic).
